Corporate Social Responsibility

Our company is preoccupied with its community’s well being and has participated in programs designed to improve the quality of life of the people of El Salvador and Guatemala. Since the beginning, the satisfaction gained through the contribution to the community’s development has been unanimous. Some of the recent projects we have supported are the following:

Ludotecas Naves, sponsored by the Secretaría Nacional de la Familia
The Ludotecas program, an international program, was created in Los Angeles in 1934 and offers a recreational alternative that allows children to develop new abilities while enjoying their childhood and using their free time in an appropriate and productive way.

The Ludotecas program Fundación Sigma sponsors is located in La Paz. Our involvement contributes to the development and recreation of hundreds of Salvadoran children.

FUNDAEDUCA
This is a program designed to improve the quality of education offered in the major educational centers in El Salvador. Fundación Sigma sponsors the Fabio Castillo School in Ilopango, with over 1,300 students. Through this program, Fundación Sigma has provided computers (along with additional equipment and accessories) and books to improve the quality of education.

FUNDASAL
The Salvadoran Foundation for Development and Minimum Shelter’s main objective is to encourage human development through the improvement of the community’s surroundings and supporting activities planned by the socially excluded urban and rural population. Fundación Sigma has been involved in this program for several years, contributing to the building of homes for countless Salvadorans.

SALVANATURA
This is an organization founded in El Salvador in 1990, whose main objective is to protect and recover the country’s natural resources, promote the conservation and reproduction of biodiversity and encourage a change in the Salvadoran’s population behavior and attitude towards the environment and the country’s natural resources. Fundación Sigma contributes to this venture economically because it firmly believes in the preservation of the environment.
